A cordless drill is a general purpose electric drill which uses rechargeable batteries.  It is the workhorse of every home tool box!  In addition to drilling holes of every possible size, some of its other uses include utilizing phillips and flathead screwdriver bits to quickly insert screws, and utilizing a paddle to mix up paint and joint compound.
