A spark plug is a mechanism which carries electrical current from the ignition to the combustion chamber of a spark-ignition engine. A spark plug has a metal threaded casing, a center electrode and a side electrode. The spark plug’s metal exterior is screwed into the engine.  Spark plugs are found in automobiles and other types of equipment that utilize a spark-ignition engine.
