Contributed by Chantee Lavette Sneed, Southern Girl Interiors

With summer setting, the light crispness in the air each morning are signs the fall season is upon us. Getting your home ready with fall décor can be easy, fun & inexpensive. Here are 5 tips to help you achieve just that:

  • ·         Tip 1– Repurpose something you already have…an old wreath is the perfect item to repurpose. Add some ribbon, raffia or acorns around your wreath. Place flameless candles in the middle of your wreath. Now position the wreath on your coffee or dining room table for a new centerpiece.

  • ·         Tip 2 – Try a creative DIY project. Find some beautiful fallen leaves to ink print. Take an existing picture and flip print around. Cut paper to the size of the frame’s print. Apply some craft paint in your choice of fall colors on each leaf. Press leaves firmly on to paper in a pleasing manner. Allow ink print to dry completely. Add new picture to your frame. Now you have instant seasonal art. This is a fun family project to help welcome fall, and changing back to your original picture is a breeze.
