Way to Save Money on Heating Bill with Bubble Wrap. Watch this video to learn the simplest, easiest, and cheapest way to save money on your heating bill – with bubble wrap! First, you cut 3/16th” clear bubble wrap to the same size as your window panes. It’s fine to use more than one piece of bubble wrap to fit the pane. Next, moisten your window with plain water. You can either wipe it down with a wet sponge, or spritz the window with a spray bottle filled with water. Then, just lay the bubble wrap over the panes. The bubble wrap will adhere to the window with only water as the “glue”, and will stay there all winter long! If you need to look out the window for some reason, you can just peel away part of the bubble wrap, and put it back, no problem!
Note: Bubble wrap can be applied either flat side down or bubble side down, and in fact for some applications bubble-side down is preferable, but with this method, using water, you will want to place the bubble wrap flat side down against the glass.
And that’s how you will save money on your heating bill with bubble wrap!

Hi Karen and Leah…its Chrissy. I liked this one a lot! Who knew I wouldn’t need tape? I especially liked the link to amazon which answered my question of where I could find bubble wrap for a good price.
Thanks, girl! If you end up getting the bubble wrap from Amazon, don’t forget to go through that link (or any Amazon link on our site). -K
