Everyone needs an electric oscillating multi-tool. And on top of that, it is the PERFECT gift for the DIY-er in your life who has everything (else). Why? Because while this tool is very, very versatile and handy, it isn’t necessarily something everyone thinks of buying for themselves when they are building a basic home toolbox. Yet, once you have one, you will find yourself using it all the time, and wondering how you ever lived without it!
This compact, hand-held power tool comes with different blades for different tasks. Some of the most popular uses of the oscillating multi-tool include:
- Removing caulking around sinks and tubs. This will speed up your re-caulking jobs tremendously.
- Trimming door casings when installing floor tile.
- Sanding wood in tight spaces, crevices and corners.
- Cutting plumbing pipe. Tubing cutters are great, but the nice thing about using your multi-tool for the job is that you can made the cut right up against the wall, should you need to.
- Removing old paint
- Cutting Drywall. This is especially handy for making cut-outs for electrical outlets or boxes.
- Cutting baseboard or Moulding, for instance if you need to repair just one section of damaged baseboards or moulding.
And you can probably think of many more uses for your multi-tool! We highly recommend it!
