How to Do a Knockdown Texture in 3 Easy Steps

Leah demonstrates how to do a knockdown texture in 3 easy steps:

Step One:  Apply texture (pre-mixed joint compound, thinned out with some water) to the wall with a roller.

Step Two:  Imprint the texture. You can do this with any number of tools, including a stomp brush, a trowel, a homemade texture tool, or even some scrunched up plastic.

Step Three:  Knock it down!  You can knock it down a with a taping knife (the larger the better).  Or, for best and quickest results, use a knockdown tool.
