How to Install an Access Panel in a Wall
Watch this video to learn how to easily install an access panel or door in a wall. To do this, you will need:
- 1 access panel
- drywall saw
or keyhole saw
- utility knife
- construction adhesive
- caulking gun
Follow the steps shown, and you will easily be able to access and work on your plumbing pipes, electrical and cable wires.

i noticed this was installed in the bathroom. Is there a reason why the access panel was located near the toilet?
Hi Brian, this panel was installed so that I could put a shutoff valve in for the shower. It doesn’t have to be near the toilet.
