How to Cut Perfect Door Hinges
The next time that hanging a door is on your “to-do” list, you might also need to cut the hinges yourself (if it isn’t a pre-hung door). You can cut the hinges with a hammer and chisel, certainly.
But you might want to consider using a door hinge jig and a router instead. Why? It is a lot quicker and more precise. It will save you loads of time, particularly if you need to hang more than one door. But also, if you are a beginning diy-er, it might take a while to get the hang of using the hammer and chisel method.
To learn the router and jig method, just watch this video and follow Leah’s easy, step-by-step instructions on how to use a door hinge jig and router. You will make perfectly cut hinges every time!

Dear Leah,
I just finished replacing my first shutoff valve to my toilet. A couple of things I did that I didn’t see on your you tube. I replaced the hose to the tank. (when I took it off the tank, I forgot to tighten the seal to the tank and had water leaking out of the tank. Second, I used plumers tape on all my fittings. I hope that was ok. It gave me some added security. I had a few minor leaks, but I took them apart and wrapped additional plummers take around it so far it is ok.
I would like to know the brand of compression shut off valve you had on your video.
Again, A BIG THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP AND HELP VIDEOS. I KNOW GOD LEAD ME TO YOU AND YOU GAVE ME THE CONFIDENCE I NEVER HAD BEFORE. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR HELP. I LOOK FOR YOUR RESPONSE TO THE BRAND OF VALVE YOU USED
Hi Ron, I’m sorry I missed your note until now. But I think (I hope) that I already answered your question on facebook or youtube. Thanks for your very kind comments, and I’m glad you found us!
