Perhaps you have wanted to install dimmer switches in a room, but you don’t want to go through the trouble and expense of replacing the actual light switches on the walls with dimmer switches.

Well, here is an excellent and low-cost alternative to replacing your light switches with dimmer switches. Simply use corded dimmer switches  with all of your lamp lighting.

How it works: You simply plug the the lamp cord into the receptacle end of the dimmer cord switch.  Then, you plug the dimmer cord into the wall.  Voila! You then can control the lighting level with the flick of a switch.  No wiring skills needed!

These cords also work well for string lighting, such as holiday lighting, and for patio or deck lighting (just be sure that the corded dimmer switch that you purchase is rated for outdoor use).

Creating mood lighting has never been easier!
