Instantly Remove Film and Oxidation from Car Headlights….with Toothpaste! Using nothing but a tube of plain toothpaste (you won’t want to use toothpaste with whiteners or peroxide here) and an old toothbrush or a plastic scouring pad, you can clean the film, oxidation and dirt from your car headlights in just a matter of minutes.
Why would you want to do this? Well, it isn’t just to make your car look nicer. It actually increases the illumination of the headlights when you are driving at night, which will keep you safer. So watch our quick how-to video below, then take a few minutes to scrub down your headlights with some toothpaste, and drive more confidently at night!

I has heard about this, So I am going to try to remove the cataract…LOL on the rightside of my car. Alot of tooth paste have peroxide and whiteners now a days…what brands would you suggest?
Hi Wizgal, Good luck with removing your “cataract”! 🙂 The brand of toothpaste doesn’t matter, just so long as doesn’t contain peroxide or whiteners…a cheap brand is fine.
