Need some more curb appeal for the front of your house?  Or maybe you just want people to get that “wow” factor when they stop by. Whatever the reason, here are 6 quick and easy facelifts that you can do to make the front of your house more appealing:

Paint the Front Door: Remember the lyrics from the old nursery song, “red and orange, green and blue, shiny yellow, purple too?”  Any of these colors from the rainbow would make a terrific front door color. We think darker and/or bolder is better, and provides a statement about your house.  Painting a front door is an easy and quick DIY project with big results!

Change out Your House Number: Often overlooked, changing the style of your house number is another easy way to accessorize and personalize your entryway or the front of your house.  You can go simple or bold, brass, chrome, wood, or even put it in lights!  

Use Flags:  Show your national spirit by accessorizing with flags!  Not just for flagpoles anymore, you can hang them on a wall or even under windows.

Add Boulders and Large Rocks:  Flowers are beautiful and dress up a front yard, no doubt about it.  But to anchor your landscape or to camouflage a drainage ditch, or even just to add some interest to a bed that is mostly mulch, you cannot beat rocks.  And nothing could be simpler to install, just put them where you want them and forget about it!

Light Up an Outdoor Walkway:  Nothing could be easier or quicker than installing solar LED “stick and go” outdoor lights!  Showcase all the hard work you have put into your yard this summer by lighting up a walkway or even a flower bed with these lights.  No electrical connection required!

Personalize Your Mailbox: Make it your own by engraving your family name on it, or even just getting an unusual style or color to make it stand out.
