Knot-Tying Basics.  The outdoor season is here!  And tying knots is a great skill to have for all your outside activities, whether it be camping, tying down a large load of lumber, weaving, boating and more! So, unless you remember knot-tying from your days as a scout, or have a child around who is a boy or girl scout, now would be a great time to refresh your knot-tying skills for the season.

In our handy collection of knot-tying videos below, we should 3 of the more popular knots: the bowline, the clove hitch, and the sheet bend.  So grab yourself a length of rope, and start practicing!  Get other members of the family involved, and you can have contests to see who can tie the knots the fastest.

Soon you will be 100% ready, the next time you go on a camping trip, or a friend asks you help them move a large item.  You will have real skills!

You can do this!
