How to Thread Pipe; A Beginner’s Tutorial

Threads are the ridges on the inside and outside of pipes, fittings, nuts, bolts and screws, that enable you to attach things together.

When you are making repairs to plumbing pipes, you may need to fix damaged threads on a pipe. Or, you may need to add threads to a new or existing pipe. While you can always run to a hardware store to have them do this for you, it is certainly more convenient to thread the pipe yourself.
