February 27, 2015  Friday Find:  Brush Extender for Painting

Have you ever found yourself using duct tape or masking tape to strap a paint brush to the end of a pole or stick so that you could paint an area that you otherwise couldn’t reach?  If you have tried this, then you know that it’s not an ideal solution to a common problem.  This is because first, no matter how securely you may tape the brush to the pole, it never feels like it is being held securely. Secondly, even when you take your time and use a steady hand, painting a straight line is a true challenge.  Additionally, it can be a messy endeavor!

Well, here’s a tool worth considering if you have have painting to do high up on a wall or ceiling, and you are usually the one doing the painting around your house.  It is called a brush extender, and it is this week’s Friday Find.  The brush extender is ideal for accessing those difficult-to-reach places, such as high stairways, high ceilings and crown moldings, exterior trim that is too high up to reach easily from a ladder, and for trimming around light fixtures and ceiling fans.

For a nominal cost, this tool will save you a lot of time, mess, and hassle!
